Our New Years Trip to Puerto Rico  In between Christmas and New Years is our annual vacation event to puerto rico. This year we have recommended our members view the listings on prwest to find for vacation rental by owner listings in puerto rico.

 

Our Christmas Tree Lighting  happens at the beginning of December, usually around the 5th of the month. The community gathers in front of the Forest Service office for apple cider, popcorn, pretty lights on the big tree, and a visit from Santa! The children love this.

Arts & Treasure Garage Sales Weekend
This happens every June. Garage sales occur throughout Happy Camp and all along the Klamath River from I5 To Happy Camp and up some of the major streets like Seiad Creek Road in Seiad Valley and Indian Creek Road in Happy Camp, CA, with lots of artists, crafters, farmers,and food booths will be concentrated around the bigfoot stature in Happy Camp on Saturday.  2013 A&T June 8. 

Rockin' The Klamath - June 29, 2013
A day of music at our river park under the big shade trees. The day starts at noon with 4 hours of young talent with "Happy Camp has Talent." Then late afternoon is a jam session and winner of the talent show performas an encore.  In the early eveniung the opening band will will perform. Then the headline band will play late into the night.

Dear Madm Day - May 2, 3, 4, 2014
Celebrate the life and writing of the local writer Stella Walthall Patterson who's book "Dear Mad'm" was a huge success during the 1950's. The book is all about Stella's adventures living on her mining claim along the Klamath River a few miled downriver from Happy Camp, CA.

The Bigfoot Jamboree - 8/31 to 9/1, 2013
The Bigfoot Jamboree is held annually on Labor Day weekend at River Park. Join in for three days of entertainment, fun, and festivities including music, contests, and a parade. This event is put on by the Happy Camp Coordinating Committee.

Top Photo: The Karuk Tribe's float in the annual Bigfoot Jamboree Parade. The float shows a traditional bush dance which is wonderful to watch. The Karuk Tribe's administrative offices are here in Happy Camp, as this is part of their ancestral territory.

Bottom Photo: Every year this Bigfoot shows up during the Bigfoot Jamboree Parade. When he's not out terrifying the crowd, he's riding down the road in his little trailer-cage.
