Advertising Committee

Our current projects include the website, town map, Yreka Sportsman Expo booth, and whatever advertising opportunities present themselves.

We are exploring advertising with Colliers Rest Stop.  We are also considered an Advertising Bus Stop Project.

The committee is open to anyone in the community that wishes to help.  We are also open to anyone just stopping by with an idea, suggestion or question.

For more information email James or Judy Bushy.

Happy Camp Coordinating Committee

The Chamber did not have a Rockin' the Klamath musical event at the River Park last year, and Rollin' on the River Motorcycle Rally hasn't been held since 2006 when we dontated $3,000 to the River Park development for the tenth year. Coordinating Council, an independent non-profit, puts on Bigfoot Jamboree and we plan to have a booth and support them in any way possible.  This is the 49th Annual Bigfoot Jamboree September 4-6th, 2015. For more information or to volunteer your assistance at events along the wild and scenic Klamath River, contact Rosemary Boren at rrb4rentals-at-gmail.com, or Judy Bushy, www.happycampnews.com

Writer's Club

We  meet on Sundays at 2pm, but not every week  so check on time and plans.  All writers are welcome. Bring something you have written to share, and we especially appreciate writing about the Klamath River stories but all genre are involved. Our goal is to write together and share our work. This is more of a support group than a critique group. Publishing an Anthology of works about living along the wildandscenic Klamath River has been a goal and thus the Writer's Club has joined with the Dear Mad'm event committee to encourage writing amont our young people. Christian Robinson won $200 for prize in the first writing contest for the High School in 2014.

Chicks With Sticks on 96!

These lovely ladies have achieved an astounding new level of physical fitness by taking a walk together every morning on Highway 96. If you'd like to join them, contact Dinah at the Forest Lodge.

The Chicks with Sticks were recently filmed for ... a commercial! Want to see? Click here, then click on "California". Some local Forest Service employees are featured there too.

The Chicks with Sticks are an inspiration to all of us. They're getting in shape and making a wonderful impact on the community! We live in a beautiful place to enjoy taking a walk with friends!!
